Filsafat Barat adalah mata kuliah yang mengkaji perkembangan utama filsafat Barat dari masa Yunani Kuno hingga filsafat kontemporer secara lebih mendalam dan kritis. Mahasiswa diajak untuk menelusuri transformasi gagasan filosofis dari kosmologi awal, rasionalisme Yunani, skolastisisme abad pertengahan, pencerahan modern, hingga kritik posmodern. Fokus diberikan pada analisis teks klasik, dialog antar pemikiran, serta relevansi konseptual dalam konteks kekinian. Pendekatan historis dan tematik digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kontribusi filsafat Barat terhadap persoalan metafisika, epistemologi, etika, dan politik.
